As the Area Wide Director of Instructional Technology, I lead the Learning Support Services (LSS) department and Virtual Campus staff underneath the Vice President for Innovation and Instruction. Located on the Grand Island campus, I manage the full-time and part-time team of instructional technology specialists located across three campuses and multiple sites, the UDL and assistive learning manager, and the media producer. Additionally, I administer the departmental budget and serve as the Canvas LMS Administrator. LSS works collaboratively with all faculty and staff on Canvas training, reporting, or technical support issues. As a comprehensive community college, CCC spans a 25 county service area encompassing three campuses and four learning centers in Central Nebraska, located in Grand Island, Hastings, Columbus, Kearney, Holdrege, Ord, and Lexington, respectively.

I developed and currently teach the virtual Government and Economics course using the Canvas LMS. With the STEM Foundations Program, I teach dual credit courses in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and American Government and Politics through synchronous virtual learning via Zoom. The Government and Economics course is a South Carolina high school graduation requirement and covers modules in philosophical foundations, the federal government, federalism, and state and local government relations, along with basic economic concepts, and principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. The additional classes in STEM Foundations offer high school students across South Carolina dual credit options with Francis Marion University.

As a Department of the Army civilian employee and action officer, I served as an Instructional Systems Specialist (GS-1750-12) with Army University, located within the Combined Arms Center (CAC) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Specifically, I was assigned as a Training and Education Analyst with the Policy and Governance Division (PGD), Vice Provost for Learning Systems. My primary roles involved data mining, statistical analysis, and branch reporting for an audience of senior Army leadership, along with reviewing and analyzing revised and existing lesson plans from designated Army institutional schools and training centers to ensure learning product compliance with applicable TRADOC publications and regulations. I provided actionable feedback and recommended lesson plan revisions and/or updates to training developers. Further, I developed and facilitated professional development sessions, supported assigned working groups, and submitted articles for in-house publication.

I served as the primary instructor for AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP Comparative Government and Politics. I developed and taught a hybrid civics course integrating fundamental economic concepts, governance, and public policy analysis within the political framework of federal, state, and local entities. I was a faculty advisor for the GSSM chapters of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Youth in Government (YIG), Economics Challenge, the Politics Club, Model UN, and the Speech and Debate Team.

I taught principles courses in macroeconomics and microeconomics, as well as a Sophomore Seminar in sports economics. I taught courses in a variety of environments and formats, including traditional, online, and hybrid courses. I was the sponsor of a student organization called the B.E.S.T. Experience (the Business and Economics Student Travel Experience).

I taught several sections of macroeconomics, microeconomics, and business statistics. I developed courses in both traditional and online formats. I also served on a variety of committees, including the assessment committee and the online learning committee. I co-sponsored a student organization called the B.E.S.T. Experience (the Business and Economics Student Travel Experience) and served as a co-advisor for Phi Beta Lambda.

I taught various business courses in the Advance Program for Adult Students, enabling working students to complete an undergraduate degree in organizational management via a part-time evening format. Among the courses I taught were financial management, information economics, and business law.

I served as the primary administrator of the online program. I provided Blackboard technical support for both faculty and students. I coordinated online course development and the provision of course sites and training. I served on committees and attended administrative meetings as required.

I served as the primary administrator for the Adult Education program which encompassed five counties in Northern Arkansas - Boone, Carroll, Madison, Marion, and Newton. I managed the operating budget, handled reconciliations, supervised teachers and staff, and submitted periodic reports to state governmental entities. The budget for the program averaged just under $500,000 annually. During my tenure, I attended multiple state, regional, and national workshops/conferences.

I taught a variety of business and economics courses, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, introduction to economics, principles of business, legal environment of business, and computerized data processing. I served on various institutional committees as assigned. I was a co-advisor for the school chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL).

I taught principles level courses in macroeconomics and microeconomics, as well as an upper-division course in managerial economics, each semester for three years. This was my first opportunity to teach in a college classroom. I was hired just after earning my MBA and serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Economics Department. It led me to pursue higher education and teaching as a full-time career.

I taught a variety of business and economics courses, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, principles of business, introduction to computers, and statistics. This was my first full-time teaching position in higher education.
