Profile bio

About Jeff Meredith

I've spent the last nine years in Analyst Relations, with roles spanning fintech (MX), source-to-pay (Basware), and cloud/hybrid cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services). This follows a decade in conference production and a few years as a technology (biotech/nanotech) and congressional reporter. At Amazon Web Services (Aug 2021-Present), I've contributed to our Leader position in two Magic Quadrants, working alongside amazing Hybrid-Edge, IOT, and Storage teams. I've helped generate significant earned coverage from top analyst firms and have played an integral role in developing messaging around cost optimization and infrastructure (compute, storage, and networking) supporting Generative AI.I started my AR career in a hybrid PR-AR role at MX (2015-2017), a Utah-based fintech startup which became one of the region's many tech unicorns. I then spent four years at Basware (2017-2021), a leader in software solutions for Purchase-to-Pay and e-Invoicing. I was selected as Basware's Global Marketing Game Changer for H1 2019 (for outstanding behavior aligned with organizational values) and as the Winners Club member from Marketing for 2019.At Basware I managed relationships with firms such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and Spend Matters, leading inquiries, briefings, handling vendor evaluations (managing RFI submissions, the development of demo reels/animations, assembling and coaching customer references), collecting competitive intelligence, and conveying key findings to C-level stakeholders. I worked closely with campaign teams, using analyst content (report reprints, webinars, custom research reports, total economic impact studies) to drive and influence pipeline. I contributed regularly to Sales Enablement activities. Collaborating with Product, Product Marketing, Presales, and Customer Success leaders across the globe was crucial in this role.At MX, I managed both Public Relations and Analyst Relations. In my first year I drove report mentions from two to 13, landing mentions from Forrester, Gartner, Javelin, and Mapa. I earned a master's in science and medical journalism at Boston University and a bachelor's in journalism and political science at Indiana University. I'm an experienced storyteller proficient in digital photography and video editing. When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling the world as a wildlife photographer and volunteer for the Phillips Renner Foundation, which provides children across the world with free dental services. To date, I've served communities in Cambodia, South Africa, Zambia, and the Philippines.
