I come from a diverse background as a licensed acupuncturist, business consultant, and serial entrepreneur. My journey has taken me through various fields including hospitality, education, health science, and medicine. I joined this industry driven by my passion for the plant and the desire to be part of the end of prohibition. Breaking into the cannabis industry without prior experience was challenging, but I was fortunate enough to convince my former Director of Operations to give me a chance. I started with Ascend Wellness 2.5 years ago as a part-time delivery driver. After about three months, we launched recreational use followed by the wholesale market, which led to my promotion to transport manager. This role allowed me to also delve into materials management, and I was subsequently promoted to senior materials manager. After nine months in that role, I applied for the general manager position when it became vacant. Although I didn't get the role, I was given the opportunity to head up operations and demonstrate my skills and abilities. In January this year, I was promoted to Director of Operations and have been serving as our site manager since. My current focus has been on deepening my knowledge of the cultivation and curing of cannabis as well as leveraging technology to improve our processes. I am excited to share my experiences with others and look forward to opportunities to collaborate and achieve great things.
