Jeff Bell is a an Operating Partner and member of the Executive Board of MidOcean Partners aiding portfolio companies and seeking new investments. He serves on MOP's Artificial Intelligence, automotive aftermarket, professional services, and content/commerce teams.Jeff serves on the boards of Johns Hopkins, Kenyon College and the Archdiocese of Seattle. Previously, Jeff was Chief Executive Officer and Board member of PPLSI, the leading provider of legal and privacy management services in the United States and Canada, with nearly 800 employees and 2 million members. Mr. Bell retired after eight years as CEO in June 2021. Jeff has also worked in start-up investing and development as a partner at NCT Ventures LLC, with a focus upon marketplace creation, innovative advertising and media technologies. Before that, Mr. Bell served as Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Global Marketing (Xbox), where he launched Halo 3, Gears of War, and grew Xbox Live from 4 to 12 million subscribers. He joined the company in 2006, and under his leadership, the Xbox had its first profitable year in 2007. He expanded Xbox Live to include Netflix, as well as launching the video games "Guitar Hero," and "Rock Band," to name a few. He received the prestigious 2008 Titanium Lion at the Cannes Advertising Awards for Halo 3, and the Cannes Advertising Silver Lion for Gears of War. In 2007, Jeff received the Advertising Age Aware for "Entertainment Marketer of the Year" for his work on Gears of War.Jeff also served as Vice President and General Manager of the Chrysler and Jeep Divisions for 5 years. In 2005, Jeff received the Advertising Age Award for “Interactive Marketer of the Year” for his work at Chrysler. Jeff spent 12 years at Ford Motor Company, including leading Ford Spain as Managing Director. Bell honed his skills during his time at Chrysler and Ford, where he rose through the ranks. He was instrumental in turning around the Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler brands with “That Thang Gotta Hemi?,” the Chrysler 300, “Stow ‘n Go” minivan and Jeep 4-door Wrangler launches.Mr. Bell is also a member of the Board of Advisors for NCT Ventures LLC, iUNU, and Nimia Media.Mr. Bell earned a B.A. degree in History & Spanish from Kenyon College in '84, a M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS in '88, & an M.B.A. from The Wharton School in '89. He and his wife of 37 years have three sons, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter.

In addition, Mr. Bell created IDShield and increased memberships to become the 2nd largest identity theft player in North America after Norton LifeLock. During his tenure, PPLSI focused upon a singular purpose -- to protect and empower people. Through its mobile and web apps, LegalShield today puts a law firm in the palm of your hand. For a low monthly fee, members join a community that receives legal services from a quality law firm in each state and province. LegalShield has the only legal network that is both responsive and accountable. Our members are surveyed after every contact.
