I am an engaging, customer-focused, drives and controls enthusiast for municipal and industrial water and wastewater industries. As you might imagine, with a career focused on technology in the water and wastewater industries, I’ve accumulated extensive knowledge and a lot of interesting stories. I’ve built a solid background in MCCs, motor controls, and switchgear, and learned to read electrical one-lines and pump schedules and how VFDs interact with electrical equipment. I am also a long-time member of the Hydraulic Institute where I’ve chaired committees on training, specification, industry coordination, and governing regulation and industry effect. I’m also a regularly featured speaker for municipal, environmental, and industry organizations. Building a robust team environment in vertical, market-focused sales channels creates a strength and depth of knowledge that no single member can achieve alone. Leveraging the team's strength has enabled me to help customers understand automation using VFDs for water, wastewater, and irrigation applications. My roles as a global key account manager, product manager, and application and industry specialist taught me that although my own knowledge is important, everyone brings a unique value to the table. Cultivating effective cross-functional team environments has been a core focus for me throughout my career. In fact, you could say that it’s become a bit of a passion for sharing knowledge. Ask me about the effect of harmonics and how to mitigate their impact on electrical systems, and we’ll discuss a variety of reduction techniques including active filters, active front ends, passive filters, and multi-pulse solutions. To that end, I enjoy both sharing with and learning from consulting engineers, channel partners, and end users. I'm a strong resource for control questions...
