Jeff Berry is co-founder of The Reunion Project, the national alliance of long-term survivors of HIV, and serves as chair of The Reunion Project steering committee. He is the inaugural chair of the CRISPR for Cure CAB of the Martin Delaney Cure collaboratories. Berry most recently served as Chief Editorial Officer of TPAN and Editor of Positively Aware magazine from 2005-2022. Berry was with TPAN and Positively Aware magazine since 1992, growing it into the country's leading HIV magazine published by a non-profit. Berry is a member of the Community Collaboration Board (CCB) of the Third Coast Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), the Fair Pricing Coalition (FPC), and the AIDS Treatment Activists Coalition (ATAC). He is a former a member of the Getting to Zero Illinois (GTZ-IL) Advisory board and the Illinois PrEP Working Group. Berry has contributed to a number of publications and websites, including Huffington Post, TheBody.com, The Advocate, Windy City Times, and Positively Aware. He was a contributing author for the book Out and Proud in Chicago, and has regularly appeared on Sirius Radio’s OutQ in the Morning and Morning Jolt with Larry Flick, and The Michelangelo Signorile Show. He was a member of the Host Steering Committee for the 2011 United States Conference on AIDS in Chicago, and served as co-chair of the Media Committee. He was the first ever recipient of the TPAN Award of Excellence in 2003, and was awarded the Chicago Area HIV/AIDS Caucus (EASE) Long Term Survivor Award in 2006. He was honored as one of the 2015 POZ 100 Long Term Survivors. Berry, a former club DJ, was awarded Gay Chicago's DJ of the year in 1990. Berry resides in Chicago, Illinois with his husband Stephen and their two furry kids.
