Hired to direct marketing/public relations for the vacation division, then assumed duties for the company as a whole, and the vacation, corporate travel, and events divisions. Tactics included database marketing, SEO, media/public relations, advertising, events, executive visibility, digital marketing, video production.

Lead and manage the marketing communications activities of the largest chamber in Johnson County, Kansas and the second-largest in the Kansas City metropolitan region. In addition to the chamber, the position is also responsible for similar activities for the Economic Development Council and Convention and Visitors Bureau. In addition to developing strategy with a focus on delivering value, was also responsible for tactical implementation including, but not limited to executive communications, digital communications, video production, social media, event marketing, media and public relations, etc. These tactics were engaged for a variety of events including Garmin Marathon, Business Lunch Series, Leadership Olathe, Blazing New Trails, Annual Meeting, etc.

Key role as part of the GCSAA leadership team accountable for overall organizational success. Strategic planning and execution of major initiatives working with the CEO and Board of Directors. Direct oversight for publications, media/public relations, marketing, web content, branding, communications, sponsorship fulfillment, and consumer research groups, and budget in excess of $2.7 million with 22 team members.

Charged with managing a staff of four and positioning athletic programs for eight Division I universities within national athletics landscape by providing media services, managing championship events, administering student-athlete recognition programs and supporting conference leadership efforts. Selected as liaison for various coaching groups, assisted fulfillment of corporate sponsorship agreements, participated on various NCAA committees/championship support functions and performed official spokesperson duties. Managed media relations activities for conference and NCAA events that required extensive planning, engagement of numerous stakeholders and coordination of institutional staff /volunteers to ensure success.
