As a partner at Bold Coast Security, I'm involved in all manner of business development but focus on product side UI design and front end development. Our core mission is to translate the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (mandated by the Department of Defense for DoD contractors) into a Q&A process that can be answered by both small internal IT departments or information security companies. A handful of simple project management tools like the ability to manage multiple organizations, operational security tasks and reminders, automated cybersecurity plan checklists, and auto generated cybersecurity policies, help companies think about their compliance as an ongoing process and not a single, annual event.

We designed and built Upstage App to fill a void in the mobile design and development space (iPhone / iPad).

Interacting directly with a diverse range of clients, from small startups to heads of Fortune 500’s, I liaise between designers and developers, execute market research, develop content strategy, produce wireframes, and lead as product designer. As a freelancer I worked directly with clients to create websites, perform post-production for photographers and design print materials among many other things.

I was involved at SPACE when it received its 501(c)3 status and before it opened its doors to the public. I lead the development of its brand identity and marketing strategy. I designed and developed all promotional collateral which included an ever evolving print and web calendar with digital archives of past events. Additionally, I was involved in brainstorming event ideas, organizing and managing events, selecting Board Members, and managing general operations.

I started on the ground floor retouching images for L.L. Bean, Volvo, Ralph Lauren, Via and numerous fine arts photographers and marketing agencies. Because of my expert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as my ability to learn new software packages and teach them, I quickly moved up as the scanning department lead, graphic designer and printmaker. I implemented company-wide color management. I wrote tutorials on using new features of Photoshop that would benefit production.
