After graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2011, Jeff worked professionally in the film industry as an assistant cameraman and Local 52 electrician in NY. In 2013, he ventured into aerial cinematography and started Aerobo where he led the team of engineers and pilots in developing complete, production-friendly, aerial systems for filming services. Jeff wrote the Operations and Safety Manuals which allowed Aerobo to secure one of the first 333 Exemptions to fly legally in the U.S. Furthermore, using his background in film, Jeff helped pioneer heavy lift drones building aircraft and gimbals from scratch. Aerobo garnered attention from the industry when they became the first to fly the Alexa XT, 3D stereo REDs, and the first cinema zoom lens and FIZ system on a drone. Additionally, Jeff’s Chernobyl drone video won the first NYC Drone Film Festival in 2015. Although Jeff continues to operate a variety of specialty robotics for TV and film working with Spidercam GmbH and ACE East, Jeff has now ventured into a new endeavor with a wireless lighting app called Blackout Lighting Console for quick and intuitive lighting control. Blackout is widely used on major motion pictures and TV shows across the world.
