Responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s AWS infrastructure for various digital products including Chronicle.com, Philanthropy.com and ChronicleVitae.com. Vitae, the company’s in-house startup experienced significant growth presenting scaling and availability challenges as the site grew from ~30K to a little under 900K users in 24 months.

CTO and principal architect of a cloud-based distributed real-time services framework for mission critical public safety and emergency services agencies. Providing preemptive incident notifications and real-time dispatching, our platform was shown to reduce response times by over 50% and in some cases as much as 100% during high call volume periods when 911 calls became stacked. Developed and implemented solutions across various layers of the tech stack including AWS, LAN/WAN, RF, GPIO, RTP and mobile; delivering fault-tolerant, highly available services in real time. Most notable customer at the time was the city of Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire.

Principal architect and business strategist of a web-based GAAP compliant business system designed to meet the specific and complex requirements of the contract furniture industry. Successfully disrupted the industry’s relatively small software market by leveraging a SAAS approach to provide an alternative to what was traditionally thought of as expensive, on-premises legacy business system.

Principal developer and chief architect of a web-based scheduling and critical path management tool for the residential and commercial construction industries. Worked closely with local builders, foremen and sub-contractors to design a critical path management (CPM) algorithm for improving and expediting the construction process. Achieved patent pending status for the CPM algorithm for reducing the build time of residential construction.
