Project Lead and Staff Engineer with successfully proven design, manufacturing, and testing experience. Self-managed and skilled in taking projects from concept to production. Innovator of advanced concepts and processes to bring out the most compelling user experience.I am currently leading a short-term international assignment in Erlangen, Germany managing an advanced concepts development center that I have built in collaboration with LKT Polymer Institute (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, FAU). This location is used to support our key partnership manufacturers with product design, manufacturing, testing, training, as well as advanced polymer research. I will be returning to the US in 2025.I recently completed the University of Washington Engineering Leadership program with critical skills built including decision analysis methodologies, project performance management, strategic planning, innovation processes, and how to effectively lead and manage teams. My cumulative grade point average is 3.95.My engineering experience is diverse and includes Technical Leadership, Computational Design, R&D, Testing, Quality Assurance and a vast range of manufacturing processes such as carbon fiber mold construction, injection molding, additive, tool making, metal processing, laminates, and assembly. I have been a pioneer of innovative prototyping and production solutions in my industry using 3D printing technologies to significantly reduce development timelines and cost. My extensive experience with additive manufacturing processes include materials from SLS, SLA, FDM, PolyJet, and DLS.Field research data is how my teams develop high performing products. I have thousands of hours invested in biomechanical studies using portable instrumentation to collect data on how users interact with the products I develop. True engineering means understanding how the product will be used and using that knowledge to optimize the design.Through my involvement with ASTM and ISO over the years I have developed new and revised existing safety standards and even held an elected Secretary position for an ASTM subcommittee.
