Responsible for curriculum, lesson plan development and formal classroom delivery of approximately 40 hours of platform instruction.

Served as Battalion Intelligence Officer, responsible for all security training, personnel background and special background investigations, intelligence briefings, security of all classified material, communications material and management of an outstanding rated section as documented by Second Marine Division annual inspections. Additional duties while in the Fifth Battalion, Tenth Marines included temporary assignment as the Battalion Adjutant, Assistant Battalion Security Manager, Nuclear Safety Officer for Sierra Battery in preparation for their Nuclear Technical Proficiency Inspection, Electronic Warfare Officer, Drug and Alcohol Control Officer, and Logistics Officer afloat for a ten week deployment and return from north of the Arctic Circle with total responsibility for all logistical planning and supply support.Served as Assistant Fire Support Coordinator for Operation Northern Wedding Bold Guard aboard the U.S.S. Guadalcanal. Responsible for coordination of all exercise supporting arms for this ten week deployment.Artillery Officer in Bravo Battery, First Battalion, Tenth Marines. Served as a forward Observer and Headquarters Platoon Leader. Responsible for liaison duties between the Artillery Battery and Infantry Company. Lead headquarters platoon of approximately 40 enlisted personnel. Direct supervision of tactical forward observation team attached to Golf Company, Second Battalion, Second Marines.
