Quizlet's mission is to help students practice and master whatever they are learning. I first joined as an intern when there were 5 employees. Over the course of 3 internships and 4 years full-time, I helped build features that grew the user base from 2M to 30M monthly active users. When I left, the team approached 100 employees.

- Grew the Web Team from 3 to 15 engineers across 2 timezones; responsible for career development and coaching- Led cross-functional teams that launched significant features: Quizlet Live (real-time multiplayer classroom game accounting for >5% of monthly-actives), Internationalization into 18 languages, and Diagramming (ability to create, annotate, and study diagrams)- Worked closely with CEO and CTO to develop product strategy and roadmap as part of annual and quarterly planning

- Helped develop m.js, an open-source Javascript modules framework [https://github.com/readmill/m.js]- Worked on all aspects of the web productReadmill was acquired by Dropbox in 2014.

Worked with the Spoken Language Systems (SLS) group- Designed and implemented MobileTurk, a Node.js-based crowd-testing framework for mobile apps- Improved the mobile performance of WAMI toolkit, a Java-based speech recognition API- Maintained WAMI’s iOS and Android apps
