About Jeff Chester

Jeff Chester is a Product Designer at Otto at Otto. He possess expertise in editing, adobe creative suite, indesign, photoshop, microsoft office and 14 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "One of the Modernize company values that always stuck out to me is "Innovative and Bold, yet Humble." I can't think of a better exemplar of this value than Jeff. As soon as he joined the team, his fresh perspective and originality stood out in every new design he generated. But what has really impressed me most about Jeff is his capacity for both collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that their visions are fully realized, in addition to synching with developers to ensure that those designs are technically feasible as well. That practice of returning to the drawing board (literally) to adjust and adapt an original design requires the utmost patience and humility, of which Jeff seems to have boundless reserves. On top of being an integral member of the Modernize development process, Jeff is simply a treat to be around. Thoughtful, clever, and quirky, he has even volunteered his design efforts to fun side projects such as gifts for fellow employees. Jeff is a bright light on any team he's a part of." and "I have had the privilege of working at Spiceworks for two years now. During that time, I had the opportunity to work under all of our design leads and I can honestly say that Jeff was hands down one of my favorite people to work with. He is a great leader and exceptional designer. Jeff does not micromanage by any means, but is always available to give you advice and guidance when asked for. This made me feel like I had creative freedom and control over my projects, while knowing that he would be there to assist me if needed. I feel like his advice is always on point, and he does not try to change your concept but simply improve it. Jeff has gone out of his way to further my design education by teaching me illustrator tips and tricks as well as giving helpful coding advice. Furthermore, Jeff is an advocate for work he believes in and will not hesitate to back other designers with their creative concepts. He always treated me as part of the team and not as “another contractor”. This was important to me as I have been with Spiceworks for 2 years now, so feeling like I’m a part of the team is instrumental in my happiness. He is wildly talented and able to create beautiful masterpieces in record time. To say he is creative is an understatement. I greatly look up to him as a designer and a mentor. Really, I can’t say enough nice things about Jeff! Anyone would be lucky to have him."
