The majority of my time is dedicated to handling tax issues for clients in the not-for-profit, manufacturing, investment, and service industries in addition to serving individuals, business owners, and their family-related entities.As the head of ORBA’s Not-For-Profit Tax Group, I focus on compliance and planning for our clients’ annual filings in terms of following best practices for good governance and minimizing tax on unrelated business income (UBIT). Additionally, I consult on tax-exemption issues such as initial registrations and re-registrations due to loss of exempt status. I also provide support to clients in communications with the IRS and state taxing authorities.In the for-profit arena, I specialize in planning and compliance for multi-state entities and investment partnerships. As a member of ORBA’s State and Local Tax Group, I stay up-to-date on potential and enacted changes to the tax law in order to properly advise our clients.My goal is to provide excellent service and a quality product to our clients by staying connected to ever changing tax laws and being respectful of and responsive to each client’s individual needs.
