Jeff C. Hsu is a registered United States patent agent and a former patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Prior to embarking on patent prosecution, Jeff carried out his postdoctoral research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He has published his findings in top research journals including Science. Jeff’s approach to patent prosecution is personal, collaborative and effective and aims to achieve a timely establishment and allowance of broadest reasonable claim scope for his clients. Jeff strongly advocates patent counsel involvement at the earliest stages of invention conception, when he believes contributions from patent counsel would be most beneficial to the client. He helps clients by developing and managing patent portfolios and determining the best prosecution strategies to pursue client’s desired claim scope.
