Communications Advisor
CurrentProvides high-quality strategic communications and community relations services to internal and external clients.Services and programs include: development of communications strategies, crisis communications, issues management, media relations, coordination of special events, internal (employee) communications, research, web writing and posting, intranet writing and posting and media training.Highlights of Role:Provides advice and expertise to client departments, project teams, members of council, and council-appointed committees in the development and execution of communication plans, including social media strategies.Researches, writes, and edits a wide variety of print and electronic publications (including reports, media releases, briefing notes, advertisements and internal and external newsletters) on behalf of clients to communicate and increase public understanding of issues, as well as to engage the public in local government.Coordinates the weekly corporate advertising program.
