I am a purpose driven and results-oriented executive with ~20 years of experience across retail, consumer products and services, and education with companies ranging from Fortune 50 to startup. I bring a strategic perspective coupled with pragmatism, collaborative approach, and a willingness to “roll up my sleeves” and execute. I am motivated by creating value for customers, team members, owners, and my community. My expertise spans business transformation, customer strategy, analytics, marketing, e-commerce, AI, M&A, operations and leading cross-functional teams. In 2024, I launched my own firm (Jeff Shaddix, LLC) to do independent advisory and make direct investments. Currently, I am working with several organizations including an AI-enabled startup and a restaurant company. I spent the first ~20 years of my career, including the last ~7 as a Managing Director and Partner (equity partner), at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global management consulting firm. BCG serves many of the leading companies and public sector organizations globally, working closely with senior leaders to address strategic issues. At BCG, my work focused in 5 primary areas: 1) Customer and Commercial strategy: accelerating growth and profit by using consumer/customer insights to drive product, brand, pricing, marketing, and channel (stores & digital) execution2) Digital transformation: leveraging technology to improve profitability and build new capabilities 3) Operations excellence: increasing organization resilience and adaptiveness 4) M&A strategy: advised private equity investors on transactions across consumer, retail, and tech sectors5) Leadership and team building with focus on values, mentorship, and professional developmentI am passionate about education which permeates my personal and professional commitments. I have worked with and volunteered for organizations focused on early childhood, K-12, and higher education. In 2016, I co-founded the Community Engagement and Social Impact efforts for BCG in Houston and personally led or co-led relationships with The Greater Houston Partnership, YES Prep Public Schools, and The Houston Endowment. (2017-2023)In addition, I am a founding Board Member of Good Reason Houston, an city-wide education non-profit committed to ensuring every child in Houston has access to a high-quality public school.
