This thesis research takes to heart the insight that if a solution isn’t affordable for those who need it the most — it’s not a solution. Using only locally sourced materials and a grassroots innovation approach, this project solution proposes a systematic way to imagine the Kisumu-specific transition to BioGas - ushering in a more safe and sustainable development path from the bottom up. Using Design Research methods, this project starts from the point of view of the household women that cook for hours every day and looks into the business possibilities and affordability models of a domestic biogas digester for methane production, a biogas storage bag, and a modified biogas stove.This project was chosen to be exhibited in the Global Grad Design Show in Dubai in November of 2019

As a resident assistant at Stanford University, I worked alongside a team of other qualified leaders of the Stanford Community in order to help usher in 88 new freshman into college life. Our primary role was to keep people safe and comfortable - but much of job is building community, having difficult conversation, and helping people develop emotional intelligence and confidence.

At Katerra, I helped to developed an E-Catalog for the company and executed research projects during their first few months of development.

As a teaching assistant at Play-Well, I helped teach engineering fundamentals to children through lego and rapid building. I worked alongside a graduated engineer and helped execute lesson plans and group build projects.
