I write and edit fun and educational books for children for both the consumer and the school and library markets. As a managing editor, I work with writers, editors, artists, manufacturing personnel, and content houses to produce books that are engaging, accessible, and accurate. I specialize in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) content, but I enjoy working in other subject areas as well. I am also the author of several educational books for children, most notably the eight volumes in the World Book's Out of This World series, produced in collaboration with NASA's Innovative and Advanced Concepts program.

As managing science editor at World Book, I have led and developed a team of editors and researchers responsible for the maintenance and expansion of science content at a premier educational reference publisher. I oversee the updating, editing, and growth of a database of 14,000+ articles on topics in science, technology, medicine, and related fields. I have also written articles, updates, and books in a variety of science and non-science fields. I coordinated the development of a supplementary science curriculum website for 3rd through 5th graders. As a freelance writer, I have specialized in turning complex, technical, or scientific material into engaging content for a variety of audiences. I have worked with doctors, medical professionals, and other subject-matter experts to produce feature articles, interviews, news items, and ghostwritten pieces.
