Designed and implemented comprehensive multi-modal biometric field technical experiment to better understand face and iris biometric capabilities in challenging CBP environments. Led development and deployment of technical solution to a southern border Port-of-Entry (POE). Constructed test methodology and execution plan for pilot over several months with extensive data capture and analysis. System processed over 1 million border crossings and biometrically processed over 150,000 travelers using multiple vendor technologies and biometric capture methods. - Served as lead Solution Architect/Project Lead for CBP Land Border Integration (LBI) pedestrian reengineering project. Solution created up to 50% increase in traveler throughput and upwards of 80% reduction of traveler wait time at land border POEs. Success resulted in expansion to 31 additional POEs (127 lanes) and add-on capabilities and deployment to alternate modalities. In 2013, the reengineered pedestrian system processed over 10.5 million travelers along the highest volume southern border POEs. The solution received recognition by Information Week as a top Government IT Innovator for 2012 and was a finalist for an Excellence.gov award.- As identity management SME within Unisys Federal, provided technical leadership and ongoing strategy for existing clients as well as corporate initiatives. System included two facial biometric systems and fingerprint verification system.- Advanced Systems Engineer on delivery of Israeli project BASEL border crossing system. Smart card border crossing system with implementation of multi-modal fusion biometric system with face and hand geometry. Sole developer of Command and Control system and various other system utility apps.- Advanced Systems Engineer on award winning Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) SENTRI vehicle border crossing program. Technologies included RFID, biometrics, and vehicle tracking systems.
