Entrepreneur, Director, Minister, Boy Scout, Outdoorsman, Coach, Trainer… I have worn many hats! During my years working in ENGINEERING at high level energetic testing facility, I learned the value of research and proper planning, as well as building in contingency plans for potential problem areas. The value of designing city infrastructure for the projected growth of population, often as far out as 20 years in the future, was also key to my Civil Engineering background. The wisdom of this kind of approach still resonates with me. While working in the NON-PROFIT SECTOR, I thrived in the experience of serving a group of people. This kind of work has taught me amazing life-lessons and skills, especially in empathizing with the needs of individuals, and working alongside others who have a passion for a special project.I believe very strongly in TEAMWORK and seek to develop a team of people for nearly every project I personally pick up. I can personally attest to the synergy that happens when a team is functioning as a whole.As an ENTREPRENEUR and small business owner, I know the value of networking with other local businesses, and business owners. TRAINING and teaching seem to be a part of my very fibre. Throughout my life, I have had opportunities to train staff, volunteers and leaders in various capacities. I’ve always felt that the best leaders are the ones who raise up more leaders, and that has been my focus in every position I’ve held.
