Reporting to the President, led a team of staff and outsourced resources, responsible for contract review, negotiation & management, claims, procurement strategy, and legal matters for industrial, commercial, P3 and government construction projects.Developed a contract management program incorporating best practices and results from an end-to-end process mapping engagement which increased operating efficiency and positioned the company for acquisition after maintaining strong earnings through growth in annual sales from $120M to over $300M.Prepared and defended numerous complex construction claims involving design change, delay, productivity loss and acceleration. Claims ranged in size from $5M to $20M.Managed $100M worth of industrial mechanical contracts under an operating receivership, resulting in successful completion and a higher payback to creditors than forecasted.Negotiated terms for several limited partnerships and memorandums of understanding with Aboriginal groups for the joint pursuit of industrial projects.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, led a team of 20 accounting staff, including 4 leads, across 3 geographical locations, responsible for all aspects of operational accounting.Co-led the successful implementation of an integrated accounting system which streamlined data and document flow, reducing field overhead expenses by 15%.Created operating tools to target improvement of financial metrics, most notably reducing Days Sales Outstanding by 60 days.Managed working capital, cost accounting, revenue recognition and month/quarter-ends allowing growth in annual sales from $40M to $120M over 3 years.Chaired monthly meetings with project managers to review budgets, project performance and change management.
