Wise Design started as a part time role in attempt to aid Custom Home Builders with blueprints for their clients dreams. As sole proprietor, my role is to manage the marketing of my services, meet with all clients to obtain design goals, prepare all of the drawings, get the owners approval on the design premise, make certain that the desired design goal meets ACC requirements, Building Committee Requirements, ADA Code Requirements, Franchise Opportunity design standards, and in the process makes for a functional space. I provide a complete set of plans for the clients that give a solid basis of need for all trades to be able to build from. Whether your goal is to create something that is brand new from the ground up, a light commercial build out, a complete home renovation, an expansion to an existing home or business, give me a call!From existing pencil sketches, I prepared a complete a set of plans for a 2 story, 2607 square foot lake cabin in AutoCAD. The total square footage includes all porches, and live able space. The set of plans included the floor plan, foundation plan, electrical plan, and roof plan.Starting with measurements, and pictures of the existing house, I used AutoCAD to draw the façade remodel for a house in northwest Houston. I also drew the plans for a 200 square foot addition to the house. The addition plans included floor plan, roof plan, electrical plan, framing plan, and foundation plan. The original design of the house was a combination Southern Spanish Style, with large brick arches, blocking the view from the house to the street. The remodel removed the brick arches, and installed columns and shutters, to give the house more of a southern colonial appearance.Prepared house plans for a 2770 square foot, two story house with an attached three car garage for Colwell Custom Homes, Inc. The house has been built in the in the Bentwater subdivision, on the north side of Lake Conroe. Construction was completed in December, 2008.

My 26+ years of experience in the Boy Scouts has been multi-faceted system of growth joining at the age of 5 as a Tiger Cub in 1st Grade. I grew up in the scouting program, and have strived for excellence achieving the Arrow of Light, Becoming an Eagle Scout, exploring the world through Venturing and Sea Scouting, and achieving both the Venturing Silver Award and probably the most difficult Scouting award, the Quartermaster. Scouting is so much more than something to do, it is a way of life, and teaches leadership skills and project management skills that help young men, and now young women grow and learn skills to help them become strong members of the working society.I look forward to someday returning to the program with kids of my own. It took a lot of long hard thinking to discontinue my membership in this program for this time in my life.

As a project manager in the Administrative Services department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, I was tasked with managing projects from conception to closeout for projects ranging from $10,000 to $1,500,000.

As Director of Drafting and Design, I am in charge of all in house Design Build projects ranging $750,000 to $5,000,000. I am in charge of reviewing, and developing all comments from the field set of construction plans into clean As-Built Documents to be transmitted to the Owner at the close out phase of the project, and assisting with the closeout team. My position is also responsible for maintaining the Plotters and Software subscriptions, and notifying the IT department if major issues have arose, or if new versions are out that need to be installed and updated.

The Construction Coordinator position within Group 1 Automotive is a multi faceted position requiring the management of the Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FFE) ordering process, reviewing As-Built documents submitted to the owner by the General Contractor, reviewing all pay applications for completion and proper form usage, and oversee all office operations for roughly 60 active projects varying from design to active construction averaging $75 million per year. Likewise, my position was also responsible for fielding any and all warranty claims from the dealership level to the corporate office level, reviewing the validity of the claim, and informing the project manager who oversaw the particular project of the issue. This position was designed to be a project manager in training. Amongst all other projects, tasks, and responsibilities, I was also in charge of writing and publishing the Group 1 Automotive Construction Specifications Manual; a 2000+ page 16 Division manual that detailed out the level of detail that Group 1 Automotive was looking for in their construction projects.
