- Work closely with Global Technical Director and team to provide best in class technical support to the business unit and support in delivering the Solvay strategy.- Provide technical leadership for existing and new products applications portfolio in Latin America for the Alumina and IM business.- Ensure the Solvay best practices are implemented along the customers' applications in the region.

- Working closely with the Regional Sales Director, manage a regionally based technical team to oversee and provide technical support for the Alumina business in the Americas region.- Trouble shoot existing plants and make technical recommendations to improve plant operation.- Participate in the development and execution of account plans, bid preparation, and representing the region as technical lead for the product ranges in full alignment with the product line strategy.- Lead and support the rolling of global New Products and Innovation (NPI) teams.- Overseeing/reviewing both technical and sales staff reports to ensure quality and consistency.

Engineer for Alumina Application Technology Group (ATG) to support the projects of the company globally:- Provide technical leadership in the plant and lab trials execution, and business strategies.- Design, supervise, conduct complex laboratory test work, pilot plant runs, and plant trials. Review and analyze results of experimental programs/plant trials, issue detailed reports. - Work alongside R&D and Sales to ensure the successfully application of the chemical solutions of the company current portfolio and new products.- Maintain detailed technical knowledge of customer application to ensure trouble-free use of Solvay products in the customer’s operation.- Actively participate on NPI teams as team member or as a team leader when appropriate.- Acting as a project engineer liaison with manufacturing facilities globally.

Engineer for advanced process control (APC) projects in several production processes working in the follow main activities:- Implementation of APC for lines six and seven of Alunorte alumina refinery including design review, commissioning and customer operator training to ensure the successfully results.- QUASAR Alumina Refineries Alcoa Honeywell alliance APC engineer and Atlantic side coordination for Profit Suite® projects, system deployments, customer assistance, system maintenance and APC platform migration. Based in Alcoa Alumar plant, Brazil, with work periods in Australia, Suriname and United States.

Application and Sales engineer of Cytec's Advanced Chemical Products. The main activities achieved were:- Responsible to manage the alumina business in Alumar (Brazil) and Bauxilum (Venezuela) refineries and accomplish a total sales revenue of approximately 5.0MUS$.- Recover the business sales at Bauxilum. Before zero and after got commercialized sales of 1.5MUS$ in 2009/2010.- Ensure sales forecast maintenance including the budget year plan and the outlook for five year plan.- Basic maintenance on flocculant dosing skids (pumps, flowmeters, PLC, etc.).Technical assistance and application process development with customers’ partnership. Trials (plant and lab) to implement new products.- Customer trainings to ensure the properly application and operation of the chemical solutions.- Technical visits to Gramercy and Sherwin USA alumina refineries.

R&D Engineer. The main activities:- Processes development in liquor filtration, sand separation, heat recovery, alumina calcination, caustic concentration, ratio A/C control, etc.- Qualification process for plant suppliers.- Support and commissioning for the expansion projects II and III of the refinery.- Reports issue for the board of directors.- Budget execution of 1.0MR$ and project coordinator for the technical department in 2006. Red Side Area Engineer. The main activities:- Responsible to maintain the key process indicators for the process engineering of the seven production lines of the digestion area department.- Commissioning and start up of the alumina refinery expansion project II and III.- Interim manager (2007-2008) for the departments of digestion, bauxite dewatering and filtration.- Presentation of projects in Brazil and abroad representing the company as member or team leader with a technical knowledge exchange with alumina refineries in Brazil, France and Australia.- Papers published in TMS 2008/2009, AQW 2008 and ISA SHOW 2008.- Technical visits to other alumina refineries in Brazil and abroad.- Development of technological innovation projects (APC Honeywell, MAX HT Cytec, Caustic Concentration measurement, recovery of the condensate, etc…).- Internal auditor of integrated management system (ISO, OHSAS, SA8000, 5S, etc…).- Champion facilitator to implement the Alunorte balanced scorecard strategic plan.
