I am a Program Manager for QBE Insurance, a company that has been helping customers prepare and recover from setbacks since 1886 with a continues focus on enabling a more resilient future. In my role with QBE I am focusing on a global reinsurance transformation project across multiple continents. The efforts of this project will enhance the internal and external customer experience and reporting, simplifying and improving the reinsurance process for QBE while simultaneously reducing and preventing leakage. Previously I was a Project Manager for Epic Systems, a health care technology company focused on developing software to help people get well, help people stay well, and help future generations be healthier. In this role I helped health care organizations in their transition to a new integrated electronic medical record system. I primarily worked with organizations that need an integrated method for registering and scheduling their patients to ensure appropriate and timely encounters within their organization. I also spent a good deal of time working with home care and hospice organizations who put the patient at the center of their care and focus on decreasing hospital readmission rates while increasing healthiness and support. Before working with Epic I worked for two major cell phone retailers - AT&T and Best Buy Mobile - and was lucky enough to hone my interpersonal communication and leadership skills through retail sales and the opportunity to hold multiple leadership roles. I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other project managers. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project is working with the health care organizations to understand their business objectives and goals. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part.I have a B.A.Sc in Business from Edgewood College and an A.A.S. in Finance with a concentration in Insurance and Marketing from Madison College.I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or just interesting creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
