Since 1974, our mission has been to sustain and promote independence for older persons in their own homes and communities.As the Area Agency on Aging of suburban Cook County, Illinois, we advocate, plan, coordinate and fund services for older adults. •Evaluates, with the assistance of faculty, program coordinators, department chairs, and directors with all programs and courses offered by the Allied Health and Science department and make recommendations based on the evaluations. •Recommend to the Vice President of Academic Services the retention and tenuring of probationary full-time faculty. •Assist the department chairs and program coordinators of Allied Health and Sciences in interviewing and selecting adjunct faculty, and recommends their retention or termination. •Recommends the hiring and scheduling of support staff for the department of Allied Health and Sciences; develops and carries out a plan for evaluation of support staff; and recommends the additional or deletion of support staff positions. •Coordinates budget preparation among the three departments

The Thornton Township Youth Committee's purpose is to provide services which will enhance the quality of life for youth and families. The Youth Committee is part of the network of professional, mental health and community services available to township residents. Counseling Crisis Education and Issue-Focused Groups Information and Referral Services are regularly provided to link residents with appropriate services and providers. The Youth Committee strives to maintain a resource data base and files in order that such information can be readily accessed.
