Permanent site administrator for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Imagery Exploitation System (NIES) for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) maintaining its Imagery Exploitation Support Systems (IESS) hardware and software suite.- One of 2 administrators supporting the primary site. - Only engineer providing technical support for a fully operational, hot back-up site at the Washington Navy Yard.- Provide 24 by 7 by 365 support for both systems.- Provide technical support for all imagery analysts on board all U.S. Naval vessels distributed globally.- Provide technical support for all aspects of the software system comprised of Unix servers, Sybase databases, and Windows User Workstations with servers running Solaris and Red Hat operating systems.- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Unix/Windows workstations and servers.- Perform software installations and upgrades to Unix/Windows operating systems, IESS Sybase database, Command Image Library (CIL) Informix database, layered software packages and maintain them in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements.- Resolve customer related technical problems, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain user accounts, maintain and administer databases, and schedule daily backups.- Monitor and tune the system(s) to achieve optimum levels of performance.- Key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of all software scripts and procedures required to support the dual configuration and database maintenance.- Key participant in the IESS software upgrade of the 2 NIES site twice yearly updates collaborating with the installation coordinators, engineers, and testers during the week long upgrade ensuring no interruptions to operations.

Attention to detail required to accurately prepare and publish the reports to the intelligence community and decision makers was key to assignment.
