I’m most energized when there’s a high degree of engagement, regardless of whether it’s servicing internal or external customers or seeing the results from developing managers of people and direct reports. Outside of project accomplishments, it’s where I get the biggest return on investment. To accomplish this, I focus on collaboration, building effective teams, and pushing for successful outcomes.Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of leadership positions, primarily focused on infrastructure strategy and operations, as well as the cybersecurity discipline of identity and access management. I’m a solutions-oriented IT senior manager with a proven track record of leading architects, engineers, and operational teams across multiple geographies to meet common goals.While I started my career building IT solutions for engineering teams and the manufacturing environment, I’ve enjoyed most of my success establishing technology platform strategies for multi-national companies and seeing those through design, deployment, and operational states. From this, I’ve learned the following about myself:- I can effectively lead large teams around the globe, aligning them around a common set of goals that helps my employer meet its objectives- I can successfully sell technology strategy by translating tech-speak into a business context that’s understandable to senior leadership- I can manage multi-million-dollar budgets through a combination of acting on cost-out and cost avoidance opportunities, in favor of spends that realize strategy and future protect the organization- I am rewarded as much by the process of enabling technologists with the soft skills to become more valuable at their own jobs as they are in realizing their potential.
