Jeff is an author, consultant & seasoned law enforcement professional with over 22 years of experience across local and federal levels. As a recognized expert in public safety and Homeland Security, Jeff has led high-profile internal investigations driven by Congressional interests, focusing on executive-level personnel and DHS programs.In his tenure as a Senior Special Agent & Program Manager with DHS, Jeff tackled cases involving waste, fraud, abuse, and criminal allegations against a workforce of over 400,000 employees. He investigated civil rights violations, corruption within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, high-ranking U.S. Coast Guard personnel, and executive Secret Service employees.Jeff concluded his career as a Postal Inspector (Criminal Investigator) with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, where he specialized in fraud-related federal offenses, targeting identity theft, romance scams, mail fraud, elder abuse, robbery, and workplace violence.Jeff's earlier career included roles as a police officer, SWAT officer, narcotics agent, detective, and DEA task force officer near the southwest border, contributing to prosecutions involving online child exploitation, pharmaceutical diversion, and organized drug trafficking. Additionally, he served as a medico-legal death investigator in New Mexico and North Carolina.Certified as an active shooter response instructor by FLETC, Jeff has advanced training in executive protection, firearms, whistleblower claims, and procurement fraud. He has conducted security assessments and ex post facto reviews of Secret Service response protocols at the White House for Congressional inquiries. His work has been recognized by national and international news outlets, and he has shared his expertise on fraud, employee safety, workplace violence, and drug education.Jeff currently offers training and consultation services in active shooter response, situational awareness, public safety, consumer fraud education, and internal investigations. Further, he is deeply committed to promoting mental health, addressing addiction, and upholding ethics in law enforcement.
