They sold into the Automotive, Sporting Goods, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, and Building Products industries amongst others. Illinois Tool Works acquired them in 2006.I reported to the President (owner)/General Manager, providing leadership and direction for R&D, Quality, Analytical, Manufacturing and Technical Support. This included responsibility for Environmental, Safety, Regulatory, the facility and its maintenance, and up to 16 people.

Franklin International is a medium sized global supplier of polymers and adhesives into numerous industrial and consumer markets. I reported to the Vice President - Business Unit Director, and was responsible for providing leadership for all the technical functions of the division that sold adhesives into the Furniture, Millwork, and other assembly based industries. My responsibilities included New Product Development, Product Testing, and Technical Support. My team included up to 13 people with over half being degreed professionals.

Worked on moisture curable, polyurethane adhesive/sealants for automotive windshields and 2-part rubber based gasket repair materials for marine applications.
