Also accountable for Enterprise Project Management Office and the $130M business change portfolio.Accomplishments Include:• Established multi-year vision, planned, and achieved CEO and board approval for the largest business process automation and systems transformation program ever initiated at Alfa. Led the $94M transformation effort, comprised of over 300 business and IT resources, focused on digitizing and modernizing the entire core P&C operations of the company and 400+ sales & service centers while implementing the entire Guidewire InsuranceSuite. Scope included replacing over 40 legacy policy administration, claims, billing, customer/agent portals, and data warehouses with modern systems, integration methods, and packages. Reported progress monthly to the board of directors.• Drove completion of a runaway policy administration replacement effort within 18 months of joining Alfa thereby preventing the company from continued spend on an extremely elongated $35M project. • Led the complete modernization of all office and network technology in over 400 remote Alfa insurance and claims offices across Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.• Introduced, coached and led major process improvements including movement to Agile development techniques, ITIL certification, PMLC and SDLC maturation, and IT balanced scorecard development and tracking.• Significantly improved IT capabilities through IT restructuring as well as creation and recruitment of key missing IT functions – Enterprise Architecture, QA/Testing, EPMO, and Enterprise IT Procurement.

Accomplishments Include:• Rescued $30M major core system replacement project that was in development for over 4 years and drove it to completion within 16 months of joining Aviva.• Turned around the recently acquired US IT organization by restructuring and recruiting 6 of 8 direct reports from across the U.S., improving system stability from over 120 hours of outages monthly to less than 10 (99.5% uptime), reinventing the IT service desk, and reducing serious audit issues from over 65 to under 5 within 2 years.• Drove the complete renovation of the U.S. data center replacing many years of outdated server, network, database, mainframe, and desktop technology.• Led the development of new online customer portals, significantly improving customer Net Promoter Scores for ease of doing business.• Commissioned by CEO to partner with the EVP of Operations to lead the consolidation of over 10 core policy administration system platforms, aimed at significantly reducing company expense structures and product introduction flexibility.• Implemented executive alignment and IT governance committees to oversee, prioritize, and monitor the $175M business and IT change portfolio.

Executive management of the Information Technology division comprised of 300+ IT associates supporting multiple corporate offices and over 500 independent agency offices. Also accountable for corporate strategic planning across the enterprise and maintaining and enhancing West Bend’s #1 “ease of doing business” rating among more than 250 property and casualty insurance companies.Accomplishments Include:• Restructured the IT organization and recruited key external talent for Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and IT Audit and Risk Management.• Drove $20M technology transformation initiative, implementing SOA-based, web-enabled, rules engine- driven solutions for the largest business unit of the corporation.• Drove and led the creation of the corporation’s first multi-year corporate strategic plan, solidifying company growth goals, cost reduction objectives, technology initiatives and 3-year strategies by major business unit.• Created the IT organization's first multi-year strategic plan from scratch.
