When you have a successful outcome, people take notice. After selling my company for $75M, my professional abilities were validated, but I knew long before that exit I was different than most. Most people live life glass half empty. That NO is definitive and there is no way around it. They’re engrained to think “why try” verse “why not”.Don’t follow things that seem unnecessary, because they almost always are. Outcomes are more important than output and knowing when a journey becomes a learned experience vs a step in the process is your first real step towards a happy life. Experience is earned, so be conscious when you’re earning it, and when you’re wasting valuable time. I believe in people and the things you cannot teach. People look for hustle, but I look for the why you hustle. Between the ages of 12 and 17, I did more as an entrepreneur than most people will ever attempt in their adult lives. Which is why backstories are like gravitational forces. They can help you find co-founders, great investments, and best of friends.I love sharing what I've learned to those wanting to listen. Here are some other of my quips that may help you in your life. I hope they'll one day be chapters in my book.
