Aspiring Cyber Security Craftsman.My personal mantra:It is better to be consistently good than occasionally great. I am happy to report that I have never had a job or position I didn't absolutely love doing. I recognize this is not the norm, and I've been blessed and fortunate. But, I also intentionally choose fulfilling jobs/assignments that keep me hungry to learn and grow.I have made a career by leveraging my grit and curiosity to solve problems others found too difficult or uninteresting. I see patterns missed by others. I'm always eager to learn, especially from those who have different backgrounds or less experience than me - this is a field where you have to stay fresh. In cybersecurity, my ethos is that discussing risk without communicating its relationship to the business/organization's value is a mistake and a risk in itself. We can't secure everything on limited budgets, so we must be wise and deliberate in our decisions.I enjoy tinkering on my home labs with servers, raspberry pi, PLCs, various penetration testing hardware/software tools, and 3D printing. For fun, I fly for hours, thousands of feet above mountains without a motor - just nylon and string 😁. I'd happily share more about stories, experiences, and opinions as appropriate - just ask me.
