About Jeff Goad, Pharm.D., Mph

I am a tenured Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Chapman University School of Pharmacy. I received my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the USC School of Pharmacy and Master of Public Health from the Keck School of Medicine at USC. I completed a residency in pediatric pharmacy practice and am a California Advanced Practice Pharmacist. For over 25 years, I have maintained an active practice in Travel Health clinics and immunization services. I coordinate and teach travel medicine, immunization, epidemiology, and parasitology courses. I am also a national faculty and advisory board member for the American Pharmacists Association Pharmacy-Based Immunization Training Program and developer of the APhA Travel Medicine Advanced Competency Training Course. I have presented at over 350 pharmacy and medical conferences and published over 90 articles and book chapters. I am President of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, the first pharmacist to serve in this role; past Chair and co-founder of the International Society of Travel Medicine’s Pharmacist Professional Group; past President of the California Pharmacists Association and the first pharmacist President of the California Immunization Coalition.
