My main responsibility in the new position is to oversee the Robotics Engineering Department. I manage 4 engineers and engineering assistants to ensure all projects are on track and completed on time. Departmental responsibilities:• Design and build a demo robot, using our companies gear motors, for use at trade shows.• Design and build two robots for use on the factory floor. These robots will move product to and from assembly lines.• Support any customers with mobile robotics applications. This includes finding current products to fit new application and designing new products from scratch when required. • Generate timelines and budgets for projects.

• Manage the design, build and manufacture of gear drives for the largest mobile robotics application in the world. • Generated and maintained Process and Design Failure Modes and effects analysis (PFMEA and DFMEA)• Designed and built gearboxes for various battery powered applications• Update existing products to improve performance and decrease cost• Worked with manufacturing and quality personnel to design assembly lines • Create end of line tests and validation equipment to insure quality and functionality of units prior to shipping• Write and execute test protocols for gearboxes and motors• Interact with customers locally and internationally to service their product needs

I was member of a small team in charge of maintaining, upgrading and designing communications systems.
