Jeff also served as outside general counsel to large family-owned real estate equities and management and brokerage organizations.Jeff is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, and in the Federal District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

The Legal Action Center (LAC) uses legal and policy strategies to fight discrimination, build health equity, and restore opportunity for people with arrest and conviction records, substance use disorders, and HIV or AIDS. LAC uses a multi-faceted approach, including impact litigation, legal services, education, and policy advocacy.

I work with people prosecuted for white collar crimes (and their families) who want to come out of isolation and join a supportive community that will help them navigate their journeys through the criminal justice system - to new ethical, productive, joyful lives on the other side of their issues.As an ordained minister, conversations and communications with those I serve fall under state clergy privilege laws. This is one reason that attorneys often allow and encourage their clients to maintain relationships with me while in active prosecution or litigation situations. Not a prison consultant; not a prison coach.

We are a community of individuals, families and groups with white collar justice issues who have a desire to take responsibility for our actions and the wreckage we caused, make amends, and move forward in new way of life centered on hope, care, kindness, compassion, tolerance and empathy. Our experience shows us that many of us are suffering in silence with shame, remorse, and deep regret. Many of us have been stigmatized by our own families and friends, and by our former business relationships. Our goal is to learn, grow and evolve into a new spiritual way of life and to reach out in service to others.Since 2016, over 800 Fellow Travelers have participated in our White Collar Support Group meetings on Zoom on Mondays at 7 pm ET, 6 pm CT, 5 pm MT, 4 pm PT. On March 6, 2023 we celebrated our 350th weekly meeting. All agree this has been a valuable, important experience in which everyone feels less alone, and gratified in the opportunity to talk about things and share critical, timely information in a safe space only we could understand. This Council convenes Greater Bridgeport area criminal justice leaders, and collaborates with the Mayor of the City of Bridgeport and the Bridgeport Mayor's Initiative for Reentry Affairs (MIRA) on issues and solutions.

Family ReEntry is dedicated to restoring dignity, rebuilding families and transforming Connecticut’s inner-city communities that have been ravaged by issues of mass incarceration.

Founded in 1979 by Father Stephen Chinlund as Network, Healing Communities Network is a prison re-entry program for the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated that addresses issues of transitional trauma and successful re-integration into the community.

The oldest and one of the largest nonprofits in the State of Connecticut serving families affected by the criminal justice system; founded in 1875 – Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) was a founder.

Member of the Editorial Board for the Malta Justice Initiative's important book and movement, "The Justice Imperative: How Hyper-Incarceration Has Hijacked The American Dream," dedicated to reforming the Connecticut criminal justice system. The Justice Imperative is a collaborative undertaking of the Malta Justice Initiative and thirty-two professionals called together to write and edit the most current book available about the state of criminal justice in Connecticut and our country.
