Producing and directing an independent feature documentary film. The coffee man was filmed in multiple locations around the world, including: Ethiopia, Brazil, USA, Honduras, Colombia and Australia. It was an observational documentary examining the Tamil villages’ limited access to clean water. We raised $10,000 to build a tube well in a local village, which had no electricity and little access to clean water.As part of a three-man film crew, my role was to script, film and edit the trailer. The film follows a barista on coffee buying expeditions around the world and finishes up at the World Barista Championships.My role in the film production included scripting, filming, sound, photography and conducting on-camera interviews. I was also involved in postproduction, spending 5 months working in-studio with the chief editor, Tony Stevens ASE.After the film’s release, I was responsible for creating promotional material, including videos and social media marketing. I was also in charge of travel logistics and event organization.
