CurrentRoles & ResponsibilitiesSharePoint Architect• Gather initial business requirements• Design the initial architecture• Provide architectural guidance to all teams• Escalate incidents to the project team as necessary• Work with the Infrastructure Team and System Administrators to establish best practices• Contribute to the SharePoint platform governance documention and processesSharePoint Administrator• Install SharePoint Farms including development/staging/production, as per the architectural design(s)• Install additional SharePoint servers to expand capacity• Configure the SharePoint platform, including all services and features• Research, evaluate, install and configure third-party add-ons and solutions• Conduct ongoing monitoring of system stability and performance statistics• Install and test hot fixes, cumulative updates and service packs• Conduct periodic testing of High Availability and Disaster Recovery capabilities• Enforce site standards (layouts, security processes, etc.)• Coordinate with the Infrastructure Support team to restore user content• Migrate from older to newer SharePoint platforms (2007 to 2010 to 2013)• Perform full system recovery in the event of a failure (disaster recovery)• Enforce end-user governance policies and processes (Metalogix ControlPoint)Site Collection Administrator• Create new site templates• Provision top-level sites• Manage security• Manage the site layout (look and feel), structure, and content• Manage site-level, and site collection-level features• Monitor and restrict user access to maintain licensing complianceUser Experience Designer (no-code solutions)• Modify the SharePoint look and feel• Create custom forms (InfoPath) and workflows (SharePoint Designer)• Modify site templates• Configure site pagesSharePoint Trainer• Disseminate general information• Teach concepts and features to users and support staff• Meet with business owners on "how-to" accomplish tasks
