Primary developer of Mailsac, a growing and profitable disposable email and testing API receiving tens of millions of pageviews and API calls per month, and tens of millions of emails.The frontend has evolved over a decade, with new development in Next.js / React, replacing the older Angular.js and Vue.js pieces.As part of my work here I develop on mailsac's custom SMTP stack in Golang, with an event driven architecture that publishes email to webhooks, web sockets, and other internal services.Mailsac's customer interface is an extensive JSON REST API developed over 10 years with tiered services now written in TypeScript and Go. The public API has full Swagger/OpenAPI docs with clean, generated examples.I have done hands-on design and many development iterations on the throttling and spam filtering algorithms. This work ranges from bayesian & random forest implementations, to building a high performance message bus, using distributed systems tracing, and developing custom TCP and UDP microservices.We deploy Mailsac with Ansible+Docker+AWS SDK, tracking many custom metrics with Prometheus and Grafana. Log aggregation is done in CloudWatch.Mailsac began fully open source. For maintainability reasons, the platform is only partially open source now.
