• Lead engineer on 2 web applications, one in ColdFusion with hospitals in 30 states submitting monthly patient volume data and one in Java with hospitals in 11 states submitting annual employee salary data where I was responsible for ongoing maintenance, development, user support, training, and administration.• Migrated one of those applications from Oracle to PostgreSQL to reduce licensing costs without a loss of functionality, also migrating from Solaris to Red Hat Enterprise and leveraging CentOS for non-production machines.• Rewrote reporting pipeline to generate PDF, HTML and Excel output from the same common intermediate XML format leveraging XSLT and Apache FOP (for PDF) and POI (for Excel), again removing lots of duplicated code and simplifying the codebase.• Migrated Java application from Orion Application Server to Glassfish.• Speaker at a yearly 2.5 day user group meeting where our licensees would come to discuss what had been added to the programs and make recommendations for further enhancements.
