I am a highly versatile and experienced education management professional with expertise in education management, district leadership, and non-profit administration. I have a proven track record of developing, prioritizing, and implementing successful education projects and grants aligned to organizational priorities through data-driven analysis and highly effective executive leadership. I proactively identify opportunities to exceed performance metrics, and am deeply committed to self-reflection and continuous improvement.I co-founded iCivics, the nation's largest digital social studies curriculum publisher. As COO and then CEO, I led a high-impact nonprofit serving more than 95,000 teachers and three million students annually. As a doctoral student at Harvard, I served as a teaching fellow for Professor Paul Reville and startup advisor for Professor Danielle Allen. As Chief of Staff and then Superintendent for Somerville Public Schools, I grew access to afterschool programs by more than 40% and launched high-dose literacy tutoring.
