Vice President / Minority OwnerSunshine Concrete & Materials (Suncon) 2005 - 2008As a minority owner and V.P. of sales, I participated in the due diligence during the acquisition of a sand and gravel / Ready-Mix supplier that had mining rights to aggregates in three (3) locations within Mohave County. I updated permits at three locations and ensured compliance with BLM / AZ State Land, and the Ft. Mohave Indian Community. Additional agency compliance included ADEQ and MSHA. I managed quality control, gradation and mix design performance of all aggregate and ready-mix products. I was responsible for producing revenues up to $20M annually. During our second year I managed a capital improvement plan that upgraded all heavy equipment, crushing/screening, batching, and advanced the automated batching capabilities with state-of-the-art software. I replaced conventional equipment with automated technology in order to produce higher quality products. In the third year of our venture, I participated and supported the sale of the company to Drake Cement, LLC a subsidiary of ARPL (Cementos Lima). The purchase and sale of this company was a success, and I returned to work at Hunter Contracting Co. to continue my career in Heavy Civil Construction.
