I worked for Dr. Stacey H. Chen as a research assistant. I help gather labor and industrial data from the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting, and Statistics (DGBAS) in Taiwan, using mainly the Stata language. I clean and organize the data from multiple data from other databases. I also provided assistance with administrative tasks, such as writing a budget proposal, writing IRB reports for obtaining Taiwan National Healthcare datasets from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and submitting reimbursement requests. I also helped organize the 2014 Econometric Society Asian Meeting. Co-authored a paper with Dr. Stacey Chen, titled "Plausible Causes and Solutions to Wage Stagnation in Taiwan," which capped up my tenure working as a pre-doc assistant at the Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica.

While the Los Angeles Dodgers played in the 2010 MLB Taiwan Series, I was a PR intern for MLB's local partner, Bros Sports Inc. I was mainly responsible for communication, media, press conferences, and the TV media room setup. The LA Dodgers were scheduled to play with the CPBL all-star team in a three-game exhibition game series. Here are the works I have done. - Prepared for the arrival of the Los Angeles Dodgers, liaisoned with Taipei Westin Hotel, Formosa TV, Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), Taipei City Government, and Kaohsiung City Government.- Coordinated welcoming press conferences of Dodgers’ players and coaches’ arrival at Taipei Westin Hotel. - Help MLB Vice Commissioner, Jim Small’s Office, and the LA Dodgers media team set up a working station in Taipei. - Set up the English PR environment and documents, including maintaining a website, social media accounts, commercial flyers, PR statements, pre-game media guides, and postgame press releases. - Interpreted post-game press conferences live in English and Mandarin. - Translated for the Dodgers' managers and players on and off the field, including Hall of Fame Coach Joe Torre, player Manny Ramiréz, Hung-Chih Kuo, Ching-Long Hu, Eric Stults, Kenley Jensen, and James Loney. - Assisted in chairing Joe Torre's public forum in Taipei Tianmu Stadium. - Coordinated Youth Baseball training camps led by the LA Dodgers' players and coaches.- Assisted Dodgers' television crew from KCAL-TV - Help KCAL-TV crews with live broadcasts from Taipei (Tianmu Baseball Stadium) and Kaohsiung (Chengching Lake Stadium)- Organized Dodgers' player's family and media personnel's traveling schedule
