Software designer and implementer for a tiny, waste-management startup that features electronic controls, AWS cloud applications, and mobile applications which are coded in Java, Python, C, JavaScript and employ REST APIs.• Designed and implemented the re-architecting of a monolithic PHP web application into microservices using Docker Containers, AWS’s ECS, EC2 and Fargate clusters, Application Load Balancers, Elastic File System, and Lambda functions. The resulting service became orders of magnitude easier to maintain.• Redesigned and re-implemented remote device data upload process using AWS’s IoT Greengrass Technology, SQS, and Lambda functions using Python resulting in a 0% data loss down from 10%.• Reimplemented cloud database services using AWS’s Aurora RDS clusters improving speed and reliability.• Performed application development in C/JavaScript/React/Redux, Java, and Python for microchip firmware, a touchscreen UI in the field, web-based data analysis tools, REST Api’s on AWS, and SQL RDS data stores.• Successfully wrote micro-controller firmware to operate motors and sensors to pyrolyze high-moisture biosolids.

Lead a team of 20 technologists including offshore vendors in the weekly deployment of time-sensitive, highly visible promotions to the Priceline.com Webhouse Club web site. Managed technical integrations with corporate partners. Built a communication strategy between IT, marketing, QA, and Operations.This business was abandoned by Priceline in 2000.

Contracted by a web-based community to turn around and lead a re-implementation of the company’s web site. Scope included replacing web, application and database architectures. Control of this project helped enable the privately held Sixdegrees to move forward with its business plans and to merge with YouthStream Media Networks, a publicly traded company.A classic "dot-com" company with minimal revenue did not survive the NASDAQ crash of 2000. Basically, it was facebook!
