I'm working on several initiatives designed to enhance the existing ServeManager features, as well as release new features and functionality for our thousands of users worldwide.

Working to ensure that Electronic Filing is implemented for the benefit of the Courts, its constituents, and EFSPs alike. The Coalition is responsible for ensuring that filers have a choice and a competitive marketplace of state certified providers, payment options, low or no cost filing for fee waiver (indigent) filers, low or no cost payment processing fees.

As vice president of strategic development, Jeff is responsible for providing the vision and strategy for a nationally branded solution that will enable One Legal to expand its services nationwide. Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in the process serving, court filing and litigation support industry. His current focus on ensuring that One Legal remains the Electronic File & Serve market leader in California. He previously served as vice president and general manager of Personal Attorney Service, Inc. in Van Nuys, California. During his 9-year tenure, Karotkin led the company through its strongest growth period, ultimately positioning it for its sale.Jeff has served on a wide range of boards and committees within the legal support industry and is a past president of the California Association of Legal Support Professionals. He has also written numerous articles and has spoken at a variety of seminars and workshops on process serving throughout California and the United States.

I stepped into the operations role to lead the team through a major reorganization. Specifically, the Service of Process business unit was not performing as expected after we closed all branch locations and consolidated operations in Petaluma. We established a set of operational KPIs to define success. We measured our daily progress against those KPIs until we had completely turned things around a returned to consistently meeting the brand/product promise. After recruiting and standing up an entirely new team, we reduced the open-inventory by half. We increased our on-time ratios across all phases of open orders by more than 50%. We reduced errors, customer complaints, and status requests to the lowest levels in the business unit's history.

I stepped into the Product team lead to help keep the team focused and productive while we actively recruited a high-performing VP of Product. At the helm, the team successfully worked on a series of platform compliance, product enhancements, and new product releases. Specifically, the team worked on the following objectives:American's with Disabilities Act (ADA) WCAG 2.0 platform compliance, customer dashboard redesign, San Diego Superior Court Filing as a Service API design and development, an MVP of a CLIO court filing API into the San Diego Superior Court, Bulk/Automated electronic filing, and launched One Legal's partner market place.
