CRRI is a multispecialty clinical research company with 5 dedicated and integrated clinical research sites in the Columbus GA region. We perform inpatient and outpatient clinical research as well as pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device research. Our research focus is phase II and III research which is the critical data right before going to the FDA or EMA for approval. Founded in 2005 as Southeast Regional Research Group, we partnered with Columbus Regional Healthcare (CRH) in 2013 and changed our name to reflect our new strength.CRH is a two hospital system. This system includes Midtown Medical Center, Northside Hospital, John B. Amos Cancer Center, The Children’s Hospital, The Neuroscience Center, MyCare Urgent Care, The Wound Care Center, and so many more resources for our community. Together, we are dramatically expanding the clinical research being performed in Georgia and Alabama.

We have multiple dedicated clinical research sites such as Southeast Lung Associates Pulmonary Research in the Savannah region all operating within IACT Health. Jan 2018, we merged the Savannah businesses with IACT Health to unify as one, larger organization.All sites are integrated dedicated research sites staffed by our highly experienced and ACRP certified research team.

The Association for the Behavioral Sciences in Medical Education is an international organization of multidisciplinary colleagues each with a common goal: To promote the inclusion of social and behavioral science knowledge, skill and perspectives in the education and training of health care professionals. To improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of health care through the application of social and behavioral science knowledge, skills and perspectives. To advocate for the use of progressive educationaland training practices to prepare health care professionals to manage contemporary biopsychosocial issues. And to provide continuing education for teachers, clinicians, researchers and administrators involved in healthcare training and practice.

I was part of the startup and design team for the Urgent Care Center and was the Medical Director and lead physician during the first year of implementation. I worked to streamline collaboration between the Urgent Care Center, the neighboring Family Medicine Center, and the affiliated emergency room so that patients could be referred from these facilities to maximize their care.
