About Jeff Methe

A former manager once told me, “You’re like a special forces commando we drop into chaotic situations to establish order and turn things around.” This much is true: I’ve always found it satisfying to create stability and build upon it. I am fueled by engineering efficient operations—with teams and manufacturing. Industrial engineering was the obvious career path for me, and I’ve never looked back. Becoming certified in Lean Six Sigma revealed the power of these toolsets. This expertise has fueled my great successes—like doubling production output with <30% expense increase, cutting product launch times by 50%, and reducing COPQ by 93%.When facing the complex situations behind these numbers, I followed Einstein’s advice: “If I had an hour to save the world, I would spend the first fifty-five minutes understanding the problem.” Understanding is the foundation for solutions that truly work. The same holds true when building and leading high-performing teams. Truthfully, I took to leadership a little reluctantly. I wanted to be the best I could be with nitty-gritty engineering work. When I at last ceded to mentors pressing me to accept leadership opportunities, I discovered great joy in empowering growth. In each role, I’ve set up extensive and varied training programs—from technical certifications to leadership development opportunities. I’ve also pioneered a value-add compensation system, weighing technical abilities, soft skills, and attendance to reward excellence. I value my team, so I invest in them.My penchant for measurement and analysis set me to succeed in cultivating financial acumen. I’ve managed $XXM budgets with P&L responsibility and conducted extensive ROI analyses. I’ve mitigated expenses, developed capital plans, and developed expense budgets. These skills, together, make it possible to create stability in place of chaos. Define the problem. Equip the team. Track the right metrics. And do it all with transparency and integrity. Clarity and trust transform culture—and results.Past successes include:• Doubled product output (EBITDA ↑32%) with <30% expense increase by implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system, reducing downtime by >9,000 hours per year.• Reduced product launch time by 50% (6 yrs. → 3 yrs.) by introducing concurrent product development.• Implemented 15-month leadership development program composed of 24 2-hour sessions, one-on-one coaching, and application opportunities.• Won 15% market share in 2020 by improving product quality and on-time delivery.Let's Connect: jkmethe@cox.net
