I won't say it's definitive; however, I do plan on giving it a measurable quotient of time to settle in and see where my interests continue to spark desire and passion. For now, my wife, our dog Jenga and myself are living full time the RV lifestyle after selling, donating or tossing pretty much all we owned. Now, I can say that my career and education prepared me for quite a bit and since October 2020 I've realized it also prepared me for many aspects of what we've planned for, reacted to and lived out while full time RV living. I'm truly enjoying the challenge, the pace and the joy from the immediacy of creating a solution to a problem. Or, at the very least, being put on the hunt for a solution that is wholly dependent on my efforts and not the involvement of others.As for my past, my career evolved from being a private practitioner litigating cases throughout southern California to being the Associate General Counsel at Veritext Legal Solutions. I can trace my success to positive mentoring, passion for learning and educating, a broad litigation background, communication style, and customer centric focus. On the legal front, I regularly provided consultation and specific issue responses on a wide array of legal topics involving business operations, expansion and the litigation discovery process. And, from March through September 2020 actively trained clients on the intricacies and means to take their litigation practice to a virtual platform. The necessary evolution in the legal practice was overnight due to the pandemic and although there were some detractors I found the overall majority embracing the new environment then quickly realizing the many benefits that it could and does provide.I take pride and accomplishment in the fact that I was a committed practitioner in the importance of establishing, servicing and perpetuating client relationships through effective communication, integrity, accountability, training and responsiveness. There are absolutely no regrets! Although the day-to-day focus has changed, I do continue to track, read and seek out information related to the legal industry whether from litigation, education, best practices, claims and technology perspectives.
