Planner for Baltimore City's Southwest District and the Baltimore Green Network Plan.Planning and implementing Impact Invest Area Strategy, which includes determining locations for public investment, homeownership support, acquisition, demolition and interagency coordination.Coordinate with multiple government agencies, nonprofit partners, and institutional stakeholders to improve Southwest District. Spearheaded the corridor strategy for the Baltimore Green Network Plan, adopted by the Planning Commission in 2018.Chair of the Interagency Project Implementation Group for the Baltimore Greenway Trails Network. The project involves connecting the city's 3 existing paved trails, the Harbor Promenade, and new trails to form a 35 mile trail network reaching 75 neighborhoods. The project will includes new trail construction in utility corridors and and no longer used rail corridors. Oversee timeline development, grant writing, acquisition strategy, and project coordination for multiple segments of the Baltimore Greenway Trails Network.

Serve on the Board of Directors and Chair the 2016 Mayoral Policy Survey group.

Creator of Comeback City, a blog covering urban planning, transportation, and livability topics.Articles have been co-published by on-line publications such as: Sustainable Cities Collective, American Public Transportation Association, Rustwire, the Baltimore Sun, and Greater Greater Washington.

Project manager for developing a $24 million 323 bed private housing development adjacent to campus. My role included; recruiting multiple bidding developers, coordinating the selection process, negotiating terms between the University and developer, assisting with the construction process including with CHAP, and managing many aspects of the year one leasing strategy. Initiated the disposition of underutilized university properties. Assisted the sale of properties to private developers to become residential projects.Performed due diligence on real estate parcels for UB to help campus expansion plans. Advised UB on on planning issues such as Mt. Vernon master Plan, local business matters, real estate projects, and updates to the zoning code.Represented UB on community boards and organizations as well as with city and state agencies such as the Baltimore City Office of Planning, Department of Transportation, and the University System of Maryland.Reviewed, advised on, and prepared comments on behalf of UB for transportation projects affecting the campus. Major projects included the Midtown Streetscape Project, Maryland Avenue Cycletrack, and the State Center road network. Comments were made for internal and external stakeholders.Advised consultants preparing the UB Facilities Master Plan 2014-2024 on urban planning topics.Created UB's Zipcar account and was liaison with the company.Oversaw contracts and agreements with Biohabitats and Blue Water Baltimore for public space designs and projects.Supervised student employees who did research and helped with marketing initiatives related to sustainability.

Taught "Urban Solutions", a course within the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences. Course topics included urban planning, economics, transportation, housing, place-making, and sustainability. Researched market, financial, and construction feasibility for real estate development prospects.Directed the rehabilitation of historic houses as part of a neighborhood revitalization plan. Wrote a grant and assembled private financing, managed the architect and general contractor, oversaw the budget and draws, and received historic tax credits.Wrote large sections of and coordinated Community Legacy grant applications that received $400,000 to fund gaps for multiple development projects in Central and Southwest Baltimore.Advised clients on purchase/rehab loan details for the Healthy Neighborhoods Program.Administered the Midtown Façade Grant Program. Recruited six businesses owners to upgrade their facades and assisted them through the construction process. Helped them meet program specifications.Provided grant funded consulting to neighborhood groups regarding renovating houses as part of the "Selling City Owned Properties Efficiently" program. This involved making presentations to community organizations.
